Allan Schwartz, DDS, CRNA
Dr. Allan J. Schwartz is a 1980 graduate of Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas, and completed a General Practice Dental Residency at the Jewish Hospital of St. Louis, Missouri. He then continued on with a bachelors of science in nursing degree from St. Louis University, which lead to nurse anesthesia school at Washington University School of Nurse Anesthesia, both in St. Louis. He lectures on dental topics and their applications to airway management and dental implications to the delivery of anesthesia to Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists. He is the author of several articles for Nursing 2006 and 2007, and for the Journal of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, where he also serves as a journal article reviewer for both journals. He has authored a chapter for the textbook Nurse Anesthesia, and currently serves as a member of the Parenteral Conscious Sedation Committee of the Missouri Dental Board, and the rewrite of the Missouri Dental Board anesthesia rules and regulations.
