Dr. John Kois lectures internationally, is a reviewer for the International Journal of Prosthodontics, and is a member of the editorial board for The Compendium of Continuing Education in Dentistry.
Dr. Kois maintains a private practice in prosthodontics in Tacoma, Washington. He is an affiliate associate professor in the graduate restorative dentistry program at the University of Washington. Dr. Kois works with restorative dentists in Creating Restorative Excellence, Center for Advanced Dental Learning, a Tacoma-based program that integrates didactic information with clinical application. He formerly was the director of fixed prosthodontics for the general dentistry residency program at Keesler Air Force Base, Biloxi, Mississippi.
Dr. Kois earned his D.M.D. from the University of Pennsylvania, School of Dental Medicine and a Certificate in Periodontal Prosthodontics with an M.S.D. degree from the University of Washington, School of Dentistry.
He holds memberships in professional organizations and honor societies which include the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, American Academy of Periodontology, American College of Prosthodontics, American College of Dentists, International College of Dentists, Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, and the Pierre Fauchard Academy.
