Dr. Eversole graduated from Indiana State University and received his DDS from Indiana University in 1968. He subsequently obtained his MSD in Oral Pathology, also from Indiana University, and later was awarded an MA degree in Educational Psychology from University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.
Dr. Eversole taught at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry from 1970 to 1973. From 1973 through 1985, he served as Professor and Chairman of Diagnostic Sciences at University of the Pacific and developed and established the Pacific Oral Pathology Laboratory, Immunocytochemistry Laboratory, an Oral Medicine Clinic, and the Facial Pain Research Center. From 1985 to 1989, he was Professor and Chairman, Department of Oral and Diagnostic Sciences, at the University of Florida. In 1989, he joined the Scripps Oral Pathology Service in La Jolla, California.
Currently, Dr. Eversole is Professor of the Section of Diagnostic Sciences and Facial Pain at the UCLA School of Dentistry.
Dr. Eversole is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Pathology and the American Board of Oral Medicine and a Fellow of the International College of Dentists. He has authored four textbooks and has contributed chapters in twelve others. He has published over 130 articles in the fields of Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology, and Oral Medicine. He has lectured widely throughout the United States and has presented courses and research papers internationally. Dr. Eversole belongs to many dental and medical professional organizations where he has held office, and currently is the Oral Pathology section editor for Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, and Oral Pathology.
